Lead-acid batteries are used in the mobile phones and computers, etc. as a secondary or rechargeable form of batteries. If you see the construction of the lead batteries, then the lead acid storage batteries are divided into two parts:
*There are the flooded and sealed lead acid batteries. It contains metal grid, electrode paste, sulphuric acid, connectors, and poles of lead alloy and the grid separators are made from PVC. The elements of this battery disposal are covered in the plastic housing which is free from rust and heat.
*Further there are two types of lead acid batteries. The distinctive batteries contain 25-30% of lead alloy components and 35-45% of electrode paste. The scrap also contains 10-15% of sulphuric acid, 5-8% of polypropylene, 4-7% of other plastics like PVC, PE etc, 1-3% of ebonite and less than 0.5% of other materials like glass.
